I am applying to art school to study photography and three peices of work are required to apply. I'm taking some new photos this week and was wondering if anyone would be willing to look through some of my pictures and help me choose the ones I should send in. I know I'm not amazing or anything, but I really want to get into this school, so any advice/suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I will be posting pictures within the next few days.

Busy??? We just did our taxes this weekend.. UGH.. Luckily we will be getting a good amount back.. I wish I could use it for photo stuff but I can't:(... Maybe I will be able to get my beloved fisheye lens one of these days.. I did a photoshoot this weekend for my cousin for her boyfriend.. I think they turned out really really cool.. I have downloaded some photographs in different categories following the prescribed rules. But when browsing the forum pages I found that the participants and winners must be residents of USA and Canada. Hence I have deleted all the photographs.

The said clause was not mentioned in the homepage where the invitation to participate was published. So I have wasted a lot of time uploading the photographs.

I have a friend who is a vet and just opened a clinic.. She wanted me to come in and take some random photos so she can put them up in black frames in the office.. I took a good many but I am going make the ones that we are going to hang up in black and white.. I also took them for advertising purposes for her..

This is from a recent shoot I did just for fun.. I was playing around and wanted to take the kiddos out for a shoot.. This is my cousin and I love taking her pics probably because she is the closest to me ever having a little girl as it gets.. LOL.. I need to recrop this and get a little more of her chin back in the shot but I still think it's ok as is.. What do you think?

Hi, there. Lambcountry here.

I see here that you have been sharing your skills with your photo editing software, and I wanted to join in.

I enjoy every one of your pictures here and look forward to seeing all of you adding your own photoshop touches to them, taking them (mostly) to an even greater place. I am also finding myself amazed at the effects created (Dizzytree, you know who you are.) I thought it would be great to try a simple little exercise.

Here's what I propose; We team up, and pick out a contributer that we would like to see what they can do to an image, but not their own! You email each other a reasonably-sized Jpeg, something that has yet to be posted here, neither in the general area or personal area, a brand new-to-us image. You do your magic, no holds-barred anything you want to the traded image. When each of the partners has completed their magic photoshopped transformation, they post the before and after version in their own personal files and make an anouncement that their pictures are ready for viewing. There is no rush, all of us have lives and speed is not of the essence.

Then we can all be amazed, awed, humbled, amused (put in your own sentiment) at the bitchen' result. We will laugh, cry, learn, walk the Himalayas seeking enlightenment and of course, become better photographers. We would follow the site rules as to the content, etc. to guide our subject choice and the photoshopping.

This is similar but slightly different than what you have already been doing here, but the thought of editing someone else's work and seeing what they create with yours is more like what you might do if you were doing it for a living, with the same interesting results. This would be the Trading Spaces of Photoburbia!

For me I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 50 1/4.. I use it most all the time!! I had an 85mm but dummy me sold it.. GRRRRRRRRRRR.. I loved that lens too.. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get my hands on a fisheye!! Those things rock!! What about you?

I am not sure if this is the right place for this topic but I didn't see an area for it so I put it here.. LOL!!! Ok so.. I have been working on my photography for about a year and a half or so... Taking classes to learn the basics etc.. I feel like I am ready and my family definitly does.. However.... I just submitted my resume to another websites pro forums and I got rejected... They have soooooo many many members and people who apply to this sites pro forum that they can't take everyone so they narrow it down by a portfolio... They give the same generic reply to everyone saying they can't give personal critique because of the volume of applicants but that it's probably due to the lack of consisitancy of skin coloring or other minor areas that need to be worked on.. It kinda bummed me out in a way but then I was like.. Well just because a few people behind the scenes on a website don't particularly think I am ready does this really mean I am not????? So I am asking you.. What do you think?? If no what do you think I should work on.. I am not wanting you all to say yes.. I just want other opinions... and if you all think I am not ready then I will just have to work a little harder!! LOL Here is my myspace page I am using for now until I am ready for a real website!! Now this said.. I DON'T know everysingle thing there is to know about photography.. I still have a lot to learn.. so let me have it!!!
