What a joke! You pick a photographer who owns a 5000$ camera to win a  rebel .How about you pick  an APSIRING photographer? Not someone who obviously is a professional. This site is a joke. Convenient that "Bob" is friends with the guy who owns this site.

I second that. 100% demoralizing to pic the professional photog to win.  But whatever.  Congrats to Bob on his new Ebay posting.

I ..THIRD ? that. Not to mention he's not even a frequent user of the site. But oh well:) I don't care that I didn't win, I just think it's super lame that a professional photographer won this contest. Seems a little sketchy if you ask me.

I understand how you all feel... I am NOT a pro by any means I try really hard and one day hope to have my own business.  I didn't see where Bob had a 5000 dollar camera.. I may have missed that somewhere though but still it is an awesome shot.  I don't think it said anywhere that pros couldn't win but yea I totally see where you guys are coming from too..   I can't say I am not sad that I didn't win.. I would have loved to win an XSI don't get me wrong I love my XTI but still it would have been kewl to win..

I do understand your concerns. In fairness, this contest was judged my a photographic panel and they chose the winner on quality and no other criteria. Also, I spoke to Bob to inform him that he had won the camera and he informed me that he had been shooting with an Canon XTi and he is extremely exited for the XSi upgrade. As per the shot information, Night Rider was taken with a Canon XTi. It is hard to believe, but it has been verified and it is true.

There are more contests to come and we may have a prize soon for the most active members so keep shooting and posting and there will be a reward.

well....no offense to anybody but for me its more about taking pictures more than winning (I know winning is very encouraging, but still)....

we did not win....that means we have scope for improvement and thats a good thing....

and Bob's photo was great, I coudlnt believe that he took with XTi......thats awsome.....

Sree, your comments and attitude are as great as your photographs.  I'm sticking around because of people like you.

Let's keep enjoying each other's input and photos...keep it fun and informative.  Yeah, I would have like the chance to upgrade from a point and shoot, but in the meantime, I'm inspired by the creativity here.  Kudos to all!
